Abbey Staugaitis

Abbey holds a master’s degree in nursing, specializing in clinical trials research. She is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator and has over 15 years of experience in hospital-based human subject’s research in a variety of clinical specialties (including TBI, Stroke, Sepsis and Critical Care, and Trauma). She is the project manager for 2 NIH-funded infrastructure regional coordinating centers (Upper Midwest SIREN HUB and the U of MN StrokeNet RCC). 

She initiated the Acute Care Research Coordinator (ACRC) Group at the University of Minnesota and remains the Program Manager. Additionally, she managed the start-up and execution of multiple multi-center community and acute clinical trials to study COVID19. She founded the Remote and Telemedicine Advisory Group for StrokeNet. Additionally, she co-founded the Stroke Research Fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
